Valuable Learning : Value out of Learning.. 

1. Learning is VALUABLE process. It cannot be FALTHOO process. How come learning which is the noblest process by human beings will be Dispensable, and Superfluous and FALTHUUUU.. ! No. It is Valuable..!

Learning process involves some value.. The value that is gone in to the learning  process itself is an evidence that the process if valuable. For example higher education in India consumes as much as 2 % of GDP of India. The value of hihger education is supposed to be atleast to the tune of 2 % of GDP. 

2. If learning is valuable, there is scope to harness value it too. Whether VALUE is harnessed out of learning process by the teachers and learners is a different issue. It might be or and might not be harnessed  .Many and times it is not. .

There are many things in the world which are valuable but value is not harnessed out of them.. 

3. I construe the  VALUE of learning as ECONOMIC value..This is my interest . There is logic for arguing so. No one  can neglect the economic value of any given learning.

3. As a matter of fact, Value harnessing out of learning process depends upon : the factors like CHOICE, CONCERN, COMMITMENT and COMPETENCE.

CHOICE: Unfortunately academics and especially teachers never CHOOSE to retrieve value out of learning. For hundreds of years, hundreds of teachers ignored this great opportunity for millions of learners ! .

CONCERN: Teachers concern was Learning not the value generation . This seems fair but it is not . There can be N number of secondary concerns for the teachers in addition to primary concern of learning.

COMMITMENT: Of course teachers commitment to value generation is a question mark !

COMPETENCE: It is Competence of the teachers in guiding the students to generate value out of learning is missing.. I have my own doubts if the teachers have this competence.. Teachers who they themselves never generated any value out of their own learning may not be competent to guide the students on this.

4. At first sight, the Value that exists in the learning may not be visible to naked eyes. One need to have insight to discover the value that is hidden in learning process. There need to creativity for the teachers to retrieve it. Here the competence matters.

There can be many and many small and tiny value lets spread all across the learning process. The Value can felt if only  many small value lets are collected and  made it into  one  critical mass.  Untill that time value will be ignored and neglected due to tiny size.

5. Unfortunately, academics try to oppose to the idea of  retrieval of ECONOMIC VALUE out of learning. They abhor such  thinking. Hence, they restrain to design the learning process leading to value generation. They feel that economic thinking as part of learning will spoil the effectiveness of learning process. Such thinking is unfounded and illogical.

6. Tiny and small value particles need  to be connected and combined systematically untill the thing  gains a  value.
